“Celebrating A Heritage” |

Archbishop George J. Lucas will celebrate the Eucharist at 11 am in the Monastery with the Poor Clare Sisters, on the Solemnity of St. Clare, Wednesday, the 11th of August 2010.
On the same day, the Poor Clare Sisters will hold their first fundraising dinner and auction at the Mainelli Center of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish, 11802 Pacific St., Omaha, NE. "Celebrating A Heritage" is the theme of the event which will start at 5:30 pm with a Social Hour and Silent Auction. Dinner and Live Auction will be at 7:00 pm. A fundraising raffle -- with a Red Smart Car as grand prize -- goes with the celebration. Tickets are $10 or 3 for $25, and are available at the Monastery. for more information about the Raffle please contact Ruth Ann Popp at 492-399-0563. |

Retreat Conferences |

Brother William Short, ofm gave retreat conferences to the Poor Clare Sisters on the theme: Contemplation in the Franciscan Tradition. The retreat was held at the Creighton University Retreat Center in Griswold IA.

Funeral Mass |

Rt. Rev. Abbot Theodore Wolff, OSB will preside at the Funeral Mass for Sister Mary Celine Hutfless on Wenesday, 14th of April at 10 a.m., St. Bernard's Church. It will be followed by burial at Calvary cemetery. |

Sister Mary Celine Hutfless, OSC returned to the Father's House at 8:05 p.m. She was nineteen days short of 96. Her Poor Clare Sisters went to the Hospice House to pray with her. |

The Poor Clare coffee cakes will be available at Cosgrave's on Friday, the 27th of November from 9 am to noon. "Cookie Dough To Go!" will also be available. Both will be on a "first come, first serve" basis! |
